About this wine

Grapes

Re Noir is made exclusively from Pinot Nero. The September harvest is performed manually in crates, and only the best grapes are selected. Yield is limited to 50 quintals per hectare.

Vinification

The grapes are destemmed and gently crushed. Fermentation takes place in stainless-steel tanks at a controlled 25°C. The detailed processing description gives about 10 days of contact between must and skins, while the summarized specification gives a vintage-dependent range of 8–15 days. After racking, malolactic fermentation is completed under controlled cellar conditions.

Ageing

The wine matures for approximately 18 months in oak barriques and then rests in bottle for six months before release.

Tasting profile

The colour is a moderately intense garnet red. Refined Pinot Nero aromas balance spice with red fruit. The palate is full and intense, with a persistent finish.

Serving and pairing

The wine pairs with land-based dishes but can also accompany seafood, as well as dishes from Italian and international cuisines. The English wine page gives a serving range of 14–18°C, while the 2025 Italian technical sheet specifies 16–18°C.
