About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The fruit comes from estate vineyards around Dogliani in northwestern Italy, planted on marl and limestone soils. The oldest vines date from 1937 and the younger plantings from 1988.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand at optimum ripeness. Fermentation takes place at a controlled 28 °C in stainless-steel and concrete tanks. Decanting and malolactic fermentation follow.
Ageing
The wine matures for 10 months in wooden and concrete vats, followed by six months in bottle in the winery’s cellars before release.
