About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The Fiano comes from two organic plots in the municipality of Lapio. The vines are 40–60 years old, and the grapes are harvested by hand.
Vinification
Winemaking begins with a short maceration on the skins of 2 days. Fermentation is spontaneous, with natural yeasts, and is followed by malolactic fermentation. Depending on the character of the vintage, vinification takes place in fiberglass, concrete or steel tanks.
Ageing
The wine ages for 7–12 months in cement tanks and terracotta amphorae, then spends a year in bottle.
Tasting profile
A wine of real depth and character, rare and distinctive.
Vintage notes
The 2022 vintage is expected to keep until at least 2030.
Label / history
The name comes from "o'gnostro", the Campanian dialect word for "ink".
