About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The fruit comes from around 20 hectares of vineyards in Lapio, at 450 metres above sea level. The soils combine limestone and clay with a substantial proportion of yellow sandstone. The vines are cultivated organically, without toxic fertilisers or insecticides.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand in early October, then carefully sorted and destemmed. Extended skin maceration takes place in stainless-steel tanks, preserving delicate fruit aromas and flavours.
Ageing
The wine ages for six months before bottling.
Tasting profile
Delicate fruit aromas and flavours.
Label / history
“Ventidue” means “twenty-two” in Italian. The name refers to the approximately 35.4 km between the vineyards in Lapio and the cellar where the wine is aged.
