About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The vineyards lie in the Langhe on limestone soils containing quartz sand and grey sandstone.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand, usually in October. After crushing and destemming, the must ferments and macerates on the skins for about two weeks under strict temperature control at 26 °C. Malolactic fermentation takes place in steel tanks.
Ageing
The wine ages for 12 months in oak barrels.
Tasting profile
Elegant and fresh, with a finish that turns especially lively. The aromas are rich, floral and fruity, and the palate has a light, pleasantly dry grip. The wine is pleasant and easy to drink, in a classic Italian style.
Serving and pairing
It can be decanted before serving. It suits pork and beef dishes, and the 2024 vintage is also recommended with shashlik and barbecue.
