About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes grow on sunny, well-drained slopes in the hills of Montalcino, in a mild Mediterranean climate.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand from late September to mid-October, then gently destemmed and crushed. The must ferments with the skins for about one month in temperature-controlled steel tanks.
Ageing
The wine matures for up to 36 months in large Slavonian and French oak casks, followed by at least eight months in bottle before release.
Tasting profile
The wine has complex aromas and a deep structure, with a velvety, soft and rounded texture. Freshness and strength are balanced by maturity and elegance.
