About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes grow in the Bardolino Classico area. The microclimate of Lake Garda contributes to the wine’s intense aroma.
Vinification
Rondinella and Molinara are harvested in mid-September, followed by Corvina in late September. After gentle pressing, the must ferments in stainless-steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 20–22 °C.
Ageing
The wine rests for three months in Slavonian oak barrels and then for one month in bottle in the winery’s cellars.
Tasting profile
The aroma is intense.
Vintage notes
In Veneto in 2021, yields averaged 7% less than in 2020. The growing season began slightly later, and frost affected some plots during budbreak on 7 and 8 April. Flowering and fruit set took place amid generally low temperatures and heavy rainfall. From June, temperatures matched seasonal averages and peaked during the first ten days of August. Hailstorms caused significant crop losses in some places, but the grapes remained healthy and of good quality.
