About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The fruit comes from vineyards in Valpolicella with volcanic, tuff-rich soils. Locally, this tuff is known as toar and contributes to the wine’s distinctive flavour.
Ageing
The wine ages for 14 months in 600 L Slavonian and Allier oak barrels, half of which are new, followed by five months in bottle in the winery’s cellars.
Label / history
The name “Toar” refers to the local term for the area’s volcanic tuff.
