About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The technical sheet places the vineyards on the hills of Sorni and in the Campo Rotaliano, on calcareous and sandy-loam soils, with simple pergola trentina training. The product page gives the broader production area as the Piana Rotaliana and hills of Lavis.

Grapes

100% Lagrein.

Vinification

The crushed grapes macerate for 15 days at controlled temperature. After racking, the wine matures in stainless-steel tanks and receives a brief passage through barriques.

Tasting profile

Deep ruby red with violet highlights. The intense, fruit-led bouquet combines blackberry and spice with sweet-violet notes. The palate is dry, savoury and full, with a velvety texture, complexity and persistence.

Serving and pairing

Serve at 18°C and open at the time of service. Pair with traditional Trentino cured meats, platters of traditional or game charcuterie and cheese, substantial middle courses, white meats, roasts, walnut tagliatelle, braised meats and game.

Vintage notes

The current release is the 2025 vintage. The characteristic fruit is most evident during the first year; over the next two or three years the wine becomes softer and more velvety while its spicy character grows more pronounced.
