About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The grapes grow in the Colli Orientali vineyards on marl and sandstone flysch soils known as Ponca, formed from marine deposits millions of years ago. The soil is rich in minerals and naturally well-draining. Its layered structure encourages the vine roots to reach deep for moisture and nutrients, which gives the grapes, and the finished wine, a more concentrated flavour. Ponca also brings mineral clarity, a subtle salty note and bright acidity.

Vinification

The grapes are gently pressed and fermented in the traditional way.

Ageing

The wine ages for 11 months in previously used oak barrels and stainless steel tanks, which lets it keep its freshness and expressive character while remaining refined and energetic.

Tasting profile

Elegant, juicy and easy-drinking. The aroma is layered, the taste lively and memorable, with a balance of depth and lightness. Mineral clarity, a subtle salty note and bright acidity mark the palate.
