About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
Morando’s vineyards lie among the hills of the provinces of Asti, Cuneo and Alessandria.
Vinification
Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature of 25–28 °C. The must is periodically pumped from the bottom of the tank over the cap, which is also submerged with a mechanical piston. Pneumatic presses provide rapid, gentle pressing. In the final stages, the wine is racked, clarified and filtered.
Ageing
The wine rests for an unspecified period in oak barrels.
Tasting profile
The nose combines floral and spicy notes. The palate is refined and smooth.
Label / history
Morando was founded in the late nineteenth century to preserve Piedmont’s winemaking traditions.
