About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The fruit comes from Borro del Diavolo and the nearby Montignano vineyard. Both vineyards occupy the same stony, south-facing ridge. The wine takes its name from Borro del Diavolo, a local brook; in Tuscany, a brook is called a “borro.”

Grapes

100% Sangiovese. The best grapes are selected from the two vineyards during the first ten days of October.

Technical data

The 2016 wine has 15% alcohol by volume, total acidity of 5.4 g/L and total dry extract of 31.8 g/L. Production amounted to 16,000 bottles.

A structured wine with a distinct personality. It is elegant, harmonious and balsamic, supported by a clear fruity note.
