About this wine
Grapes
The blend combines five varieties, indigenous and international. One of them, Negretto, is rare and found only in Emilia-Romagna.
Vinification
The wine blends mature wine from so-called perpetual barrels with young wine from the current harvest. The perpetual barrels were first filled in 2008 and are topped up every month. The aim is to combine the mature character of the older wine with the freshness of the younger. It is bottled without fining or filtration, so a natural sediment may form at the bottom of the bottle over time.
