About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The vines are 30–100 years old and grow in sandy volcanic soil with effusive rocks.
Grapes
The 2015 vintage combined Carricante and Catarratto with tiny proportions of Minella and Trebbiano.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand, gently pressed and fermented in stainless-steel tanks.
Ageing
The wine matures for six months in stainless-steel tanks, followed by six months in bottle.
Label / history
The wine debuted with the 2014 vintage at Radici del Sud 2016, placing first in the journalists’ ranking and third in the buyers’ ranking.
