About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The fruit comes from the Tolino farm in the communes of Treiso and Neviglie. The Barbera and Nebbiolo vines are relatively old.
Vinification
The two varieties are vinified separately. Nebbiolo undergoes 10–12 days of maceration, while Barbera is macerated for 25 days.
Ageing
The wine matures in small oak barrels for 15–18 months, followed by 10–12 months in bottle before release.
Label / history
The wine was created to explore the expression of relatively old Barbera and Nebbiolo vines in a single blend. Its name and label were designed to reflect an innovative, international character. They refer to California’s Long Now Foundation, which brings together leading scientists and intellectuals. The label depicts the foundation’s clock, housed in a science and technology museum in London.
