About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The Dolcetto is grown by the company in its own vineyards in Piedmont.
Vinification
The grapes are pressed in a pneumatic press. The must ferments in stainless steel tanks under carefully controlled temperatures. Maceration lasts about a week and is followed by malolactic fermentation.
Ageing
A short period of ageing in stainless steel tanks.
Tasting profile
Juicy fruit flavours, low acidity and soft tannins.
Serving and pairing
The wine is ready to drink within a year of the harvest and can be kept for 3–4 years.
Label / history
The family-run Scanavino winery was founded in the 1920s between Langhe and Roero. It now produces a broad selection of Piedmont wines and sparkling wines. Perlino continues the production, respecting the terroir and local traditions.
