About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The vines are trained to spurred cordon and planted at approximately 5,000–6,000 vines per hectare. The vineyard yield is 6 tonnes of grapes per hectare.
Grapes
100% Sangiovese.
Ageing
The wine matures for at least 24 months in oak barrels, followed by a minimum of four months in bottle.
Tasting profile
Intense ruby red with garnet reflections. Red and black fruit leads the aroma, accompanied by spices and medicinal herbs. The palate combines generous fruit with dense, well-integrated tannins and a savoury character. Balsamic nuances emerge before a long, harmonious finish that develops progressively.
