Vineyard and terroir
The vines are trained to spurred cordon at a density of approximately 5,000 vines per hectare. The vineyard yield is 7 tonnes of grapes per hectare.
Grapes
100% Sangiovese.
Ageing
Maturation lasts ten months and is divided between wood and concrete vessels. The balance between the two varies with the vintage.
Tasting profile
Intense ruby red. Sweet mixed-berry aromas are prominent, complemented by elegant spice. The palate is fruity, lively and savoury, continuing into a deep, persistent fruit-driven finish.
