About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The wine comes from Bolgheri on the Tuscan coast. Cypress trees and the nearby sea define the landscape, an area inhabited since Etruscan times. Cabernet Sauvignon has found particularly favorable conditions here, producing wines characterized by softness, persistence, bright acidity, harmony, and clarity.

Grapes

70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Merlot.

Ageing

Matured for 12 months in barriques.

Technical data

  • Classification: Bolgheri DOC
  • Production area: Bolgheri
  • Alcohol: 13.5% vol.
  • Bottle format: 0.75 L

Tasting profile

Deep ruby in color. The nose combines black cherry and coffee with oak nuances. Sweet-fruited flavors shape the palate, supported by a firm tannic structure and leading into a long, complex finish.

Serving and pairing

Serve at 18°C. Particularly suited to red meat and game, with penne alla boscaiola and sausage risotto also suggested.
