About this wine

Grapes

Sangiovese, Merlot and Syrah. The proportions are adjusted to the character of each vintage.

Vinification

The three varieties are vinified separately. After destemming and crushing, the must remains in prolonged contact with the skins. Alcoholic fermentation is conducted at a controlled temperature of no more than 28°C. Once fermentation is complete, the three components are blended in proportions suited to the vintage.

Technical data

Maremma Toscana DOC Riserva. Alcohol: 13.5% vol.

Tasting profile

Deep, intense ruby red. Elegant aromas of blueberry, ripe black cherry and plum lead to a fruit-driven, notably structured palate. The finish is persistent and satisfying.

Serving and pairing

Serve at 16°C. Pair with pappardelle and meat ragù, pasta dressed with mushroom or truffle sauces, roast pork or veal.

Label / history

Maremma represents a new frontier for Collezione Oro, Piccini’s collection of emblematic Italian wines. The wine’s identity draws on the region’s open horizons and free-spirited character.
