About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes come from the Florentine hills around Fiesole, Tuscany. The lean soils contain galestro and limestone. The organically farmed vines are trained as low-spurred cordons and Guyot. Harvest is by hand in mid-September.
Grapes
Sangiovese, Canaiolo and/or other complementary varieties. Exact proportions are not given for the listed 2021 vintage.
Vinification
Fermentation takes place in stainless-steel tanks at controlled temperature.
Ageing
The wine matures in stainless steel and then spends at least three months in bottle.
Tasting profile
Ruby red without excessive depth of colour. The aroma is distinct, with elegant red-fruit notes. The palate is rounded and well structured, again showing clear red-fruit character. Its style is intended for relaxed, everyday drinking and sharing with the simple but assertive flavours of Tuscan cooking.
