Vineyard and terroir
Produced in Montalcino from vines trained to a unilateral spur-pruned cordon. Planting density is 5,952 vines per hectare, with a yield of 60 quintals of grapes per hectare (6,000 kg/ha).
Grapes
100% Sangiovese.
Vinification
Fermentation is natural and relies exclusively on indigenous yeasts. Traditional red-wine vinification takes place in stainless-steel tanks over 30 days.
Ageing
The wine matures for 12 months in stainless steel without any passage through wood, followed by four months of bottle ageing before release.

Tasting profile
The wine has the classic red colour of Sangiovese, combining transparency with depth. The nose opens on a mineral note supported by delicate impressions of cherry and redcurrant. On the palate, composed tannins remain integrated with the structure. The finish is long, expressing elegance, harmony and depth.
Vintage notes
The 2016 growing season followed a generally normal pattern. It was not particularly hot but was balanced overall and showed promising prospects. Gradual ripening produced a crisp, juicy finish rich in tannic material.
