About this wine
Grapes
The blend is based on Dolcetto, Barbera and Nebbiolo in proportions that vary by vintage; other local red varieties may occasionally be included. Certified organic wine.
Vinification
The grapes are picked by hand and transported in perforated crates to protect them before processing. After destemming, the must ferments spontaneously. Frequent pump-overs encourage colour extraction while restraining the extraction of harsher tannins. Racking is followed by malolactic fermentation, after which the component wines are assembled in changing proportions to preserve the wine’s established character. It rests briefly before release.
Tasting profile
A fairly intense ruby-red colour introduces concentrated fruit aromas that carry through onto the palate. Cherry, plum and sour cherry are prominent. The wine has good structure, medium body and a broad, persistent finish that is slightly tannic and dry.
Packaging and sustainability
The box is designed to preserve the wine’s characteristics for an extended period after opening. A single container holds the equivalent of six bottles. Eliminating that glass reduces space and weight by more than 20% and can lower lifecycle and reuse-related emissions by as much as 30%.
Label / history
The name comes from the Piedmontese dialect expression “L’è propi bun, neh!”, meaning that something is truly good. “Neh” is presented as a word as familiar in Piedmontese speech as a glass of wine.
