About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes are grown in the province of Modena in Emilia-Romagna, in vineyards in the heart of the DOC production area.
Vinification
The wine is made using what the source calls the classic Charmat method, described as involving secondary fermentation in the bottle.
Tasting profile
It has a fresh, well-balanced and lively palate, with fine bubbles and a light aroma.
Serving and pairing
It pairs well with spicy dishes and desserts and may also be served on its own as an aperitif.
Label / history
Civ & Civ was founded in 1964 following the reorganization of Cantina Cooperativa Vini di Castelfranco Emilia in Castelfranco Emilia and the subsequent establishment of four other wineries and the Consorzio Interprovinciale Vini (CIV). The Civ & Civ group now belongs to Riunite, and their jointly produced wines are released under the “Riunite & Civ” label.
