Label / history
Cleto Chiarli was founded in 1860 by Cleto Chiarli, who had previously made Lambrusco for customers at the Trattoria dell’Artigliere in central Modena. The positive reception encouraged him to produce it for wider sale. The family owns more than 90 ha of vineyards in the Lambrusco DOC production area.
In 2002, Mauro and Anselmo Chiarli decided to build a new winery at the Azienda Agricola Castelvetro estate. The facility has produced Lambrusco under the “Cleto Chiarli” brand since 2003.
