About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes grow in Modena, Emilia-Romagna, in Northern Italy. They come exclusively from the company’s own vineyards in the heart of the DOC production area, which encompasses varied microclimates across its different zones.
Vinification
The sparkle is produced by the Charmat method, with secondary fermentation in large sealed tanks followed by bottling under pressure.
Serving and pairing
Pair with pizza, sausages, cured meats or cheese.
Label / history
Civ & Civ grew from the reorganization of Cantina Cooperativa Vini di Castelfranco Emilia in Castelfranco Emilia. The resulting cooperative project established four further wineries within several years, together with the Consorzio Interprovinciale Vini (CIV). Civ & Civ was founded in 1964. The group later became part of Riunite, and its wines are released under the Riunite & Civ label.
