About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The fruit comes from various Podere Rocche dei Manzoni vineyards in Monforte d’Alba, within the Langhe. The vines are trained to Guyot at 4,000 plants per hectare, with a stated yield of 60 q/ha. Farming is sustainable and directed toward reducing fungicide use.

Grapes

Chardonnay and Sauvignon. Tataya is a vintage-dated wine; its first production was in 2013.

Vinification

Following pressing, the must is transferred to cement tanks for fermentation. The wine continues to mature in cement before bottling, without oak ageing.

Technical data

Langhe Bianco D.O.C. Available in 0.75 L bottles; the official shop also offers a 1.5 L format. The published technical and sensory information represents averages across several years and can vary with the vintage.

Tasting profile

Pale, clear straw yellow with medium intensity and good visual consistency. The clean, precise aroma combines white fruit and white flowers, including white peach, loquat and elderflower, with a delicate vegetal nuance associated with Sauvignon. The palate is notably fresh and acidic, prompting generous salivation. Savoury character leads into a lightly almond-like finish with a subtle vegetal accent. It is balanced, moderately long and versatile.

Serving and pairing

Suited to appetizers, fish dishes and light first courses.
