About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The estate is in Colli Orientali del Friuli, where the climate is mild and Mediterranean.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand in the second week of September and gently pressed in a pneumatic press. The must is separated from the sediment at low temperature. Forty per cent undergoes malolactic fermentation in oak barrels, while the remainder completes fermentation in steel tanks without malolactic fermentation. The two portions are blended one month before bottling.
Tasting profile
Youthful, light and lively, with playful spicy notes.
Label / history
The wine takes its name from Jacopo, the owner’s younger son. The Palazzolo family has owned the estate since 1964, and Serena Palazzolo assumed its management in 1981.
