About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes come exclusively from the Poderi Ducali estates in Veneto, at elevations of 100–250 m. The deep soils consist of conglomerated rock and sand, with abundant clay and iron.
Grapes
85% Glera; the remaining 15% comprises Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay and other complementary grape varieties. This was Ruffino’s first organic Prosecco.
Vinification
Selected grapes are pressed to obtain the must. One portion undergoes alcoholic fermentation to become base wine, while the remainder is held at 0°C, maintaining a supply of quality cuvée beyond harvest. Before prise de mousse, the must and wine are blended and refermented with selected yeasts in pressurized tanks according to the Charmat method. The process lasts approximately one month, preserving fruit aromas and producing a refined perlage.
Technical data
Prosecco Treviso DOC, certified organic. Alcohol: 11%.
Tasting profile
Small, fine and persistent bubbles. Straw yellow in color, with fruit and floral aromas of apple, pear and elderflower. The palate is refreshing, ending with citrus and peach.
