Vineyard and terroir
The grapes grow on the Dolomite hillsides in the northern part of the province of Treviso. Ruggeri sources fruit from 200 estates.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested in the second half of September. Ruggeri processes the harvest within ten days of picking, selecting and pressing the grapes before fermentation. Vinification takes place for eight days at a controlled temperature of 18 °C, followed by a slow second fermentation in large sealed tanks at 12–14 °C.
