About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes come from the Pora, Asili, San Stefano and Montefico cru vineyards in the commune of Barbaresco.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand and undergo several selections. The finest bunches are selected in the vineyard, the berries are checked on arrival at the winery, and the winemaker conducts a final inspection before crushing. Fermentation and maceration take place at a controlled temperature in large stainless-steel tanks.
Ageing
The wine ages for at least 50 months, including 9 months in Slavonian oak barrels. After bottling, it matures for 30 months in the winery’s cellars at 14–16 °C.
