About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

Dedicated Gewürztraminer vineyards lie among the rolling hills around Cornaiano, south of Bolzano. The landscape was formed by the movement of vast masses of ice during the Ice Age, and the soils combine gravel, sand and limestone.

Vinification

The grapes are hand-picked and taken directly to the winery. They undergo cold maceration, followed by fermentation in neutral vessels at 18 °C.

Ageing

The wine rests on its lees for six months before filtration and bottling.

Tasting profile

The 2009 vintage has a balanced, silky texture and a complex aroma of rose petals, nutmeg and cinnamon.
