About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The Chardonnay grapes are grown in South Tyrol.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested with care, thoroughly selected and gently pressed. Fermentation is slow, at controlled temperature, in large oak barrels. Part of the wine undergoes malolactic fermentation.
Ageing
The wine rests on the lees for 5–7 months.
Tasting profile
Distinctive aroma with delicate notes of ripe tropical fruit. The palate is fresh and well balanced.
Serving and pairing
Suited as an aperitif; it pairs with risotto and seafood.
Label / history
The Kössler winery lies in the medieval village of San Paolo, in the heart of the Tyrolean wine region. Its winemaking history dates back to 1631. In 2005 Kössler was acquired by the Cantina Produttori San Paolo (St. Pauls) cooperative, which continues to produce its wines.
