About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
Pinot Bianco, also called Weissburgunder, has been grown in South Tyrol for more than a century. The favourable microclimate, the wide temperature swings between day and night and the local soils help the grapes develop an expressive, characteristic aroma.
Vinification
The grapes are picked at full ripeness and carefully sorted. Slow fermentation takes place in oak barrels at a controlled temperature, and part of the must undergoes malolactic fermentation.
Ageing
The wine is aged on fine lees for 5–7 months.

The grape is known for its distinctive flavour, lively acidity and minerality.
Label / history
The Kössler winery lies in the medieval village of San Paolo, in the heart of the Tyrolean wine region. Its winemaking history dates back to 1631. In 2005 Kössler was acquired by the Cantina Produttori San Paolo (St. Pauls) cooperative, which continues to produce Kössler wines.
