About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes are selected from estate vineyards on the gently rolling hills of Valiano di Montepulciano, 70 km from Siena, with particular emphasis on south-west-facing plots.
Vinification
Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature, followed by 20 days of maceration.
Ageing
The wine matures for 24 months in 50-hectolitre Slavonian oak casks, followed by a further 12 months in bottle.
