About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The fruit is selected from the separate Monticol vineyard near Terlano, at 450–650 m above sea level.
Vinification
Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature in stainless-steel tanks, followed by malolactic fermentation.
Ageing
The wine matures for 12 months, with 50% in barriques and the remainder in large oak casks. Around one-third of the vessels are new. Three months before bottling, the lots are blended in a single tank and left to rest. The wine can be enjoyed young; the recommended drinking window for the 2016 vintage is 2020–2031.
