The selection draws on Nebbiolo vineyards in the eleven municipalities of the Barolo DOCG production area. The sites have soils with a strong calcareous component. Their soils and microclimates contribute completeness, balance, elegant tannins, and considerable longevity.

Grapes

100% Nebbiolo.

Vinification

Traditional vinification includes fermentation lasting approximately 20 days.

Ageing

The wine ages for at least five years to refine its substantial structure.

Technical data

Average yield: 45 hL/ha. Alcohol: 14.0% vol. ± 0.5. Total acidity: 5.50 g/L ± 0.5. Residual sugar: below 2 g/L. Available in a 750 ml bottle.

Tasting profile

Intense ruby red with garnet reflections. The bouquet is ethereal, pleasant, and intense, recalling dried rose and violet. The palate is dry, full, robust, and austere, balanced by a velvety, harmonious texture. Elegant tannins, completeness, and balance support its long-lived character.

Serving and pairing

Serve at 18–20°C. Pair with Piedmontese main courses such as Brasato al Barolo, roasts, and game, as well as mature cheeses and dishes featuring mushrooms or truffles. Particularly suited to important occasions.
