About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The grapes grow on hillsides in Niclara, Penone and Cortaccia.

Vinification

After harvest, the grapes are sorted and pressed at the winery. Fermentation lasts 10 days in concrete tanks at a controlled temperature of 18 °C.

Ageing

The wine rests on its fine lees for four months before bottling.

Tasting profile

Elegant and well balanced, with aromas of nettle, elderflower, sage and mint. The finish is pleasantly juicy.

Serving and pairing

Suitable as an aperitif and with asparagus, grilled vegetables, fish and goat’s cheeses.

Label / history

The name “Merus” comes from a Latin word meaning “pure, genuine.”
