About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
Fruit comes from the Graun vineyard near Kurtatsch, at 800–850 m above sea level, and the Montan vineyard, at 450–550 m. The vineyards have chalky, loamy alluvial soils with gravel and are planted at a density of 6,000–7,000 vines per hectare. The vines are approximately 15 years old.
Vinification
Fermentation takes place in stainless-steel tanks, with maceration in large oak barrels.
Ageing
The wine matures for eight months in old oak barrels.
