About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The Riserva is made from a rigorous selection of grapes grown in the estate’s oldest and most historic vineyards.

Grapes

Nebbiolo selected from historic estate vineyards in Gattinara.

Tasting profile

Bright ruby red with orange reflections and delicate transparency. The concentrated, complex bouquet is led by liquorice, juniper berry, balsamic sandalwood and pronounced toasted nuances. These give way to fruit preserved in spirits, strawberry and blackberry preserves, with fading-flower notes completing the aromatic profile.

The palate is elegant yet vigorous, structured around dominant tannins that develop with age. Savouriness and lively freshness shape a long, flavourful and continually evolving finish.

Label / history

This historic Travaglini label interprets the tradition and history of Gattinara through fruit selected from the property’s venerable vineyards.
