About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The fruit grows on the Gargano Peninsula in Puglia, on distinctive white, stony limestone soils dating from the Kimmeridgian period and warmed by the sun.
Vinification
Made as a natural wine, it ferments spontaneously in open steel tanks without temperature control, followed by two days of skin maceration.
Ageing
It rests in steel tanks for six months and is bottled without filtration.
Tasting profile
Masculine and focused in character, with freshness and minerality.
Label / history
The Calcarius collection was conceived by Valentina Passalacqua as an exploration of the meeting between art and science. Its central ideas are rationality, research, minerals and limestone.
