About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes grow on distinctive white, rocky limestone soils dating from the Kimmeridgian period, under the warm sun of Puglia’s Gargano Peninsula.
Vinification
Spontaneous fermentation takes place in open steel tanks without temperature control, followed by 7–8 days of skin contact. The wine is bottled without filtration.
Ageing
The wine matures for six months in large steel vats.
Tasting profile
Lively and savoury, with a masculine, linear character marked by freshness and minerality.
Label / history
The Calcarius collection explores the meeting of art and science. Its central ideas are rationality, research, minerals and limestone.
