About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The grapes grow in the Pievasciata and Castelnuovo Berardenga vineyards, on limestone and marl soils. The yield is 70 centners per hectare.

Vinification

The grapes are harvested by hand in the last ten days of August. After careful sorting, they dry for several months in a chapel on the estate dating from 1700, until they have lost 60% of their weight. They are then pressed and vinified.

Ageing

The wine ages for less than 5 years in small 50-litre barrels.
