About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The fruit comes from the high-altitude Lago and Canalone parcels, planted between 1998 and 2002 at 480 metres. Pietraforte and Galestro soils, wind and altitude shape a precise, lifted expression that favours vibrancy over concentration.
Grapes
100% Sangiovese.
Vinification
Fermentation employs indigenous yeasts. The restrained approach is intended to preserve the clarity, freshness and energy of the high-altitude fruit.
Tasting profile
Redcurrant and plum are joined by pomegranate, orange zest and delicate, unobtrusive spice. The palate is lively and energetic, with fine, well-integrated tannins, elegant structure and a precise, lingering finish. Freshness, poise and drinkability define the style.
