Vineyard and terroir

The vineyards are in the communes of Nizza Monferrato, Ricaldone and Castelnuovo Don Bosco. Yields are low, and a range of soils and microclimates shapes the wine's character. The vineyards of the Terre Da Vino cooperative lie in the hills of Monferrato, where the microclimate, soil characteristics and low yields help the wine express its terroir.

Vinification

The grapes are harvested slightly early to preserve bright acidity and the characteristic aromas of the variety. They are gently pressed and fermented at a low temperature in stainless steel tanks.

Ageing

After fermentation the wine stays on the lees in the same stainless steel tanks for 3 months, then is bottled in spring.

Tasting profile

Sunny golden colour and an elegant floral aroma. The taste is soft, intriguing and pleasant.

Serving and pairing

Suited to aperitif use or to light, refined dishes.

Label / history

"Tra Donne Sole" is Italian for "between us girls"; the wine is presented as being about women and for women. It is made by Terre Da Vino, a cooperative of 14 large and small wine producers in Piedmont, founded in 1980. It covers around 3,900 hectares of vineyards for DOC and DOCG wines. Its vineyards are overseen by specialists from the agricultural department of the University of Turin and the Piedmont Winemakers' Association.
