About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes come from two areas of Piedmont. One includes Castiglione Falletto, Serralunga and Monforte, where Barolo is known for character and structure. The other includes Barolo, La Morra and Verduno, known for more aromatic and elegant wines.
Vinification
Production follows Barolo traditions and regulations and is closely controlled. Fermentation lasts 20–25 days at a controlled temperature of 30 °C, which allows the wine to develop the tannins needed for structure and long ageing.
Ageing
The wine matures for at least 2 years in large oak casks, then for at least one year in bottle, when it develops a balanced character. It leaves the cellar 4 years after the harvest.

Label / history
"Paesi Tuoi" belongs to a series of wines whose names were inspired in various ways by the works of the twentieth-century Italian writer Cesare Pavese, who wrote about the hardships of postwar life in Piedmont. The name comes from his book "Moglie e buoi dei paesi tuoi", after an Italian saying loosely translated as "Do not choose a wife or an ox from far away."
The wine is made within Terre Da Vino, a cooperative of 14 large and small producers founded in 1980. It covers around 3900 hectares of vineyards for DOC and DOCG wines. Its vineyards are overseen by specialists from the agricultural department of the University of Turin and the Piedmont Winemakers' Association.
