Terre Alfieri in breve
It is a small appellation built on two grapes with deep roots here. Arneis, grown in these vineyards in small quantities for as long as anyone remembers, was saved from disappearing by growers who kept faith with it, and has been replanted on the best sites; Nebbiolo is the red of the same hills.
Terre Alfieri Arneis and Terre Alfieri Nebbiolo must each contain 85 to 100 per cent of their grape, the rest made up of other non-aromatic varieties of the same colour. The white comes as Arneis and Arneis Superiore; the red as Nebbiolo, Nebbiolo Superiore and Nebbiolo Riserva. Terre Alfieri was created as a DOC in 2009 and became a DOCG in 2020.
