Vineyard and terroir
This Barolo comes from the younger portion of a 2-hectare vineyard in the Castelletto cru at Monforte d’Alba. The steep, south-east-facing site lies at 350 m above sea level and has medium-textured soil dominated by limestone. The vines are 20–30 years old.

Vinification
The grapes are picked by hand in October. Fermentation and skin maceration take place in rotary fermenters for approximately 10–15 days, with temperature controlled between 25 and 30°C. Malolactic fermentation precedes maturation.
Ageing
Approximately 24 months in large 50-hL Slavonian oak casks.
Tasting profile
