Storia
Nineteenth-century origins
Antica Fratta occupies an imposing nineteenth-century villa in Monticelli Brusati, in the province of Brescia. A cellar was constructed alongside the residence with four interconnected tunnel sections arranged as a Greek cross.
Franco Ziliani and Antica Fratta
The property later became closely associated with Franco Ziliani. He used the historic residence and cellar to receive guests and celebrate special occasions. Antica Fratta was one of the Franciacorta places that particularly attracted his attention.
Restoration and renewal
The nineteenth-century villa was restored, while the adjoining cellars underwent a more recent renovation. The estate continues to produce Franciacorta alongside Curtefranca Bianco and Rosso still wines. Its renewed underground spaces are also used for guided visits, tastings and hospitality events.
