Questo vino
Vineyard and terroir
The Glera grapes are carefully selected from twenty vineyards in Veneto.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested between 15 and 30 September. The Special Edition follows a longer vinification than the classic Bandarossa, with low-temperature fermentation using specially selected yeasts. Secondary fermentation takes place in sealed autoclaves according to the Charmat method.
Ageing
The wine matures on its lees for 90–120 days with regular bâtonnage. After bottling, it rests for a further three to four months at a controlled temperature in the winery’s cellars.
Tasting profile
Elegant and refined in style.
Label / history
The name Bandarossa dates back to founder Giulio Bortolomiol, who marked favoured bottles with a red stripe, or “banda rossa”. These bottles were reserved for special guests and loyal friends. The mark has been used since 1986. The Special Edition was an experimental production of 6,000 bottles intended to explore the importance of grape quality and selection in this winemaking process.
